Magic Tails - Book Review

Magic Tails edited by Martin H. Greenberg and Janet Pack

What is it about:
Fourteen original tales from fantastic authors that perfectly blend cats and fantasy in popular fables with a magically feline twist. From a cat genie who has a problem fulfilling human wishes, to the quest which only Sleeping Beauty's cat can complete, to a feline desperately seeking to best the devil, these fables are sure to please lovers of cats and fantasy.

What did I think of it:
This anthology is a must read for everyone who loves cats. I really enjoyed the stories in this book, especially the retellings of fairytales. The added felines made those stories new and original again.

My favourites:
Ali Babette by Alan Dean Foster - An original take on the genie in a bottle.

Cat Among The Pigeons - Based on one of my favourite fairytales about princesses who sneak out to dance all night with otherworldly suitors.

The Devil's Bridge by Edward Carmien - About a cat that tries to best the devil.

Why should you read it:
It's got cats AND fables.
